We have a very straight forward idea about pub quizzes – that learning doesn’t have to be boring, and that terrible dad jokes and puns are applicable all the time.

Dux Nuts started as a small hobby in one venue next to the University of WA. Our keep it simple approach proved to be a hit, with good old fashioned trivia fun. As popularity grew, so too did our venue list. We now boast one of the biggest availability of quiz night’s across Western Australia and have no intention of slowing down.

Whether you need an entertaining night to drive patrons to your venue, or need to raise funds for a worthy cause, Dux Nuts has you covered for all your Trivia needs. For our players, we offer a simple model, where questions aren’t too complicated and everyone can play (doesn’t mean it’s easy though!).

Back in 2011, in a valiant attempt to impress a girl, Shane took on the brave task of taking over the local pub’s Quiz night. While she didn’t stick around, he stuck to his quizmmitments and hasn’t stopped ever since.

Now back in Perth after some time in Dubai, Shane helps the day to day operations and you can often see him visiting our events.

Lee started off his microphone in a super cliche way,
by MC’ing a local pubs Karaoke night every week
for about a year.

Assuming that this was more than enough to qualify him to assist Shane in the creation of Dux Nuts Entertainment,
he has been a staple in the quiz market, and has been terrorising the public with his horrible jokes, and his Celine Dion playlists for years.

With bright red hair and a VERY unhealthy obsession with true crime, Layla is our ex-barber turned Dux Nuts behind the scenes wiz! Layla is also a quiz host, runs all our socials and writes content. Chances are she has laughed out loud while alone in the office at your team names!

Our resident pocket rocket! When she’s not drinking her coffee in the shower (to save time apparently), you can catch her double hosting some of our southern venues!

The face of quizzing in Morley. Find Gee regularly at Varsity Morley, and at a variety of venues each week.

Alex’s general knowledge might be questionable without the answer sheet, but she does know every Taylor swift lyric and will talk footy to anyone who will listen (as if hearing her host isn’t talking enough).

When she’s not spamming the Bosses personal email by accident, Holly loves long walks on the beach and will definitely argue about any topic (she is 100% wrong about). Find her hosting south of the river!

If you ask her, she will tell you that she has been a Dux Nuts host since the dawn of time (or at least it feels like it). With a well-known collection of followers, she can be found at our NOR shows.

A newish addition to the team, Lima probably better known through her DJ gigs around Perth.

Elijah has quickly gained a cult following.

When he’s not playing pirate dress ups, you can catch him from Cockburn to Mandurah.

Jason had been attending Dux Nuts for 6 years before he decided to test himself on the other side of the mic. A lifelong nerd who spends most of his free time gaming, watching movies & hanging out with his dogs.

After several years of playing gigs all over Perth, Sam is no stranger to an audience. As a regular quizzer and self-proclaimed film buff, he’s decided to give hosting a shot!

When he isn’t teaching students about history, he is trying to weave it into every question and answer he gives.

Looking for a host who’s as quirky and colourful as the questions they’re asking? Meet Chloe, the sassy, blue-haired quiz master who’s here to “make your brain hurt” in the best way possible! Or at least that’s what we think her ex-boyfriends meant when they said that about her.

If you’re looking for a quiz master who is always down for a laugh, look no further! Poppy is a bubbly and friendly host who has a passion for performing.

Our very own team rockstar. Once a player, now lead quiz master at venues all around Perth. Sharp on the guitar, camera, and the mic.

After hosting many film trivia for a failing podcast you could imagine the surprise on Hugo’s face when he found he could be paid for hosting them.

An 80 year old woman in a 25 year old body. My entire personality is my pets and if I’m not in bed knitting or reading by 10pm it will take me 3 days to recover.

Hailing from sunny California with an even sunnier personality, Shabana realised her destiny was to be a quizmaster after consistently dominating the music round at her local DuxNuts quiz nights! You can ask her for help but be aware that she’s also known for occasionally being overly confident in very incorrect answers.

Steph’s passion for talking and her love for asking questions has led her to discover her true calling as a quiz master. Currently pursuing her second university degree. she has undoubtedly acquired some fun facts along the way. In a couple of years, you’ll be addressing her as Dr. Quiz Master!

Max tried to quit, but found it was harder to get people to listen to his dumb jokes when he didn’t have a microphone. round, as only ever remembers the lyrics to songs!

If you’ve got Lachie as your quiz host, stop worrying. Unless you’re planning on cheating – he’ll catch you no matter how ingenious your caper is. When Lachie’s not hosting your pub quiz, he’s madly writing an assignment that’s due tomorrow or binging the latest and greatest TV show.

Kaitlyn is Canadian, NOT American. She knows everything about ice hockey (the ONLY hockey) as long as you only ask her about her team, the Edmonton Oilers.

Never wanting others to feel bad, Abbie has made sure to have a complete lack of general knowledge, and an inability to stop talking, that will make you leave every quiz night feeling like a genius!

Likes: sport, cats and holding all the answers
Dislikes: dnb, the sun, writing bios

Parker may be plain on the eyes, and he is, but it will feel like you have Haemorrhoids when he starts hosting because, you’ll be on the edge of your seat!

Meet Hannah! A power hungry ex photography student who should never have been given a microphone and an answer list. In lieu of a job in her degree’s field Hannah spends her days wishing she did finance, her nights hosting quizzes and her weekends seeing a man about a dog (drinking beer and photographing dogs).

When she’s not buried in the depths of the Adobe Suite, Ellie throws random facts at anyone willing to listen. Note that she has a mild addiction to Kit Kats and has promised to try her best not to accept them as bribes

The new guy. Hired to tick the “token ginger” box. He’s hilarious, a claim which is still awaiting management confirmation and approval.

Son. Uncle. Time magazine’s person of year 2006. Lived in Europe but still pronounces Barcelona normally. This SOR quiz host has it all.

Meet James, our quirky quiz all-rounder who’s a cricket tragic, film buff, and tech nerd. When he’s not studying the latest tech trends, you’ll find him watching quiz shows, bingeing Netflix docos, catching up on episodes of Gruen, or even umpiring a game of cricket. Join James for a night of fun facts and laughs at one of our NOR venues.

Meet Kaitlin: Pub quiz maestro and Dungeons & Dragons enthusiast, guiding adventures with an espresso martini in hand – a perfect blend of trivia, fantasy, and coffee-infused hosting magic!

Crazy Cat Lady? Maybe. But what’s life without a little crazy?

You can find Bek in Katanning. When she’s not hosting quizzes at Premier Mill, you might catch her on stage with the local dramatic society. If you don’t see her around, she’s probably at home with her 5 cats.

Emergency travel barber, ritualistic shaman, amateur sommelier. What can’t Lachlan do? Answer: win a quiz night. That’s why he’s decided to host them instead.

Lara would love to help you out but she knows nothing, unless the question is from one of her few niche topics of expertise: classical vocal technique, ballroom dance, acting techniques, or cheese 🧀

Ness discovered her love for pub quizzes while living in London, but thinks she is probably better at hosting a quiz than playing in one. Maybe it’s true what they say – if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em! Catch her grooving along to the music round songs at our northern venues.

For what she lacks in general knowledge she makes up for in music! You can catch Elley at some of our SOR venues.

When Declan isn’t quiz hosting he’s likely brushing up on something pop culture related, always ready to give you a fun fact about any topic. If you’re really nice to him, he’ll likely give you a hint or two.

Oh, so you ALSO heard the guy who won’t stop making obscure movie referernces? Yeah that’d be Ken. If it’s not film and TV, he’ll be on the golf course trying to find peace and forget the ending of Game of Thrones. Always down for a laugh and constantly looking for humour where ever it may lie. He will look for you, he will find you, and he will quiz you.

He has a Diploma in Sound Production and has done a decent amount of traveling in his time. Still, Jemay will never get a geography question right and will most certainly botch the music round. There’s a reason why he’s on the mic and not on your team!

Mel nerds out on pop culture, music and loves the sound of her own voice so quiz hosting was a natural fit. In her down time she enjoys burlesque, comedy, cooking and hanging with her cat Meatball.
